New Learning Management System to replace CPDonline workforce development booking site
Welcome SkillGate – farewell to i-learn and CPD
From 3 April 2023, there will be a new Learning Management System (LMS), called SkillGate that will replace both i-learn and CPD online.
This new system will allow BCP Council colleagues to access both a booking system for face to face courses and webinars and an enormous range of e-learning in a fresh variety of formats.
The LMS will also offer the course booking system to our external customers and partners.
We will be transferring across historical training data dating back to 1 April 2019 when we became BCP Council, although training history from beyond that date will be available to us from both i-learn and CPD online in the form of spreadsheets.
SkillGate is an intuitive system, but there will be 'how to' videos and user guides available as well as a couple of introduction face to face webinars available to ensure that Event Admins, Line Managers and users are trained and onboard with the new practices.

What does this mean for you?
From Friday 24 March 2023, CPD Online will be completely closed, it cannot be used to request training, and it cannot be access to look at your training records.
Administrators also has access removed, so if you need to access your account or download certificates – this must be done before Friday 24 March 2023
It is especially important that your most recent safeguarding certificates are downloaded and any statutory / mandatory training certificates that you require for your role.
Between Friday 24 March 2023 and launch date of 3 April 2023, we will not have an automatic booking system. We will still have the training dates published via our Flyers, but there will not be a link to book the training. We recommend if you can wait a couple of weeks you do, but if you need to book something urgently (and you are in Children’s Services) you can email c.training@bcpcouncil.gov.uk where our admin team will be ready to support you.
